In Semi Heat 1-  The current 6x World Champion Meagan Ethell continued her competitive dominance behind the boat by taking a solid win in her semifinal heat with a unanimous win from the judges and a 4^th in the fan vote. Meagan’s flow and technical prowess were evident in her line. Mary Morgan Howell a relative newcomer came up huge in this heat with a solid second from the judges and a win with the fans. Ethell and Howell will have their work cut out for themselves in the final though as Australian Bec Gange dominated Semi Heat 2.

In Semi Heat 2 – Bec Gange had an incredible showing and won the judges vote unanimously and layered in a solid 3^rd place in the fan voting. Bec’s style amplitude and specifically her technical handle passes locked in her win. Young Alexa Guajardo from Mexico crushed the fan vote more than doubling the next rider and also dominated the comments online, her support from her community is huge. Look for great things to come in the future from all of the girls in this competition.
